April 21, 2005

(Denver, CO) Native American Bancorporation announced today that John H. Beirise, President and CEO of the banking subsidiary, Native American Bank, NA, resigned on April 18, 2005 to pursue other business interests. Mr. Beirise will remain a consultant and advisor to the organization for six months.

"Mr. Beirise has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the bank since joining in 1999, and the Board of Directors and shareholders express their appreciation for his services," said Native American Bancorporation Chairman Tex G. Hall. "Mr. Beirise leaves Native American Bank a strong institution ready to expand and grow even further. We see this development as an opportunity and a step in our overall strategic plan to build on the bank's strengths and move the organization forward."

Lewis A. Anderson, Chairman of Native American Bank, NA, added, "We all wish John well in his future career directions."

The Board of Directors has initiated a national search for a new President and CEO. Interim management will consist of three current bank directors: Elouise Cobell and Lewis Anderson will serve as interim co-chairs, and William Snider will serve as interim president and CEO. All three directors each have over twenty-three years of banking experience.
